Profile of  Dr.  Prasad , Associate Professor, NITIE, Mumbai.

Currently  Faculty Advisor – NITIE Center for Student Enterprises,  ( A Project funded by Dept.  of Science and Technology, GOI. Center actively promotes ‘Student Companies’ among college students.

Dr.  Prasad is  General Secretary Society for Entrepreneurship Educators  (SEE)  a forum @ISB, Hyderabad.

Dr Prasad is also Treasurer and Fouding member  Council for Small Business and Enterpreneurship

Academic Qualifications: M Com., M Phil, and  Phd 

Work experience:   Working in  NITIE, Mumbai  for the last 13 years as faculty member in general management area.

Earlier work experience include : Administrative Staff College of India,  Hyderabad ; XLRI Jamshedpur, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

• Conducted consulting assignments ,  Conducted various MDPs for developing corporate mangers for leadership;
• Areas of interests include developing Entrepreneurial Learning  methods on the principles of Action Learning for Entrepreneurship development;
• Published papers in national journals; Presented  papers in national and international seminars

Significant Career Accomplishments

-          Awarded AIMS We School Innovative Pedagogy GOLD award 2009 for  Mandi  as innovative pedagogy

-          Won Best Case Contest @ SEE – ISB  Annual Event for his case “ Navnirmiti  - A Social Enterprise

Significant Professional Contributions 

 -           Hamara Dhandha – An Entrepreneurial  Pedagogy where in Student Enterprising is embedded with regular curricular programs for UG and PG students

-          Mandi , Anand Mandi, Shanthi Mandi – Short duration business immersion  experience involving field experiences  to inculcate entrepreneurial attributes, skills and behaviours among the  students

-          Entrepreneurship Education Awards – Launched a national awards campaign  to recognize the faculty members, Students and academic institutions who are making real contribution to Entrepreneurship Education in India 

-          Conceived and created  NITIE Center for  Student Enterprises devoted to promote student enterprising among the student learning.  This center is working towards application of  Gandhian thoughts on Education  “ Nai Taleem” in to action as part of   Higher Education learning. 

-          Adviser to a  NGO - ‘ Navnirmithi’ Mumbai  -  which is working to  promote effective   learning related to  subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy among the slum and under  privileged School going children  in various parts of the country.
